People (contacts)

People is your contact book — every client, past client, sphere contact, teammate, and vendor in one place. It's the source of truth for who a person is; what they're doing shows up in Leads, Pipeline, and their Realms.

What's in People

People is the first tab of the People hub (People · Leads · Referrals · Recruiting), organized into the groups you actually think in — shown as chips under the title:

  • All — everyone.
  • Clients — buyers and sellers you're working with.
  • Sphere — your sphere of influence (past clients, referrals, relationships).
  • Team — the people in your Workspace.
  • Vendors — lenders, inspectors, title, and other partners.
  • Forgotten — contacts you told EVE to stop surfacing, with a one-click restore if you change your mind.

Below the chips is a search bar plus Filter and Sort. Filter carries the deeper axes — Role (Buyer / Seller / Referral), Source, Status, attributes (has email / phone / REALM / tasks due), and a full Property Profile filter for buyers (area, budget, beds, baths, sqft, garage, HOA, property type). An active-count badge and Clear all keep it tidy.

A contact's profile

Open a contact to see their full picture:

  • Details — name, email, phone, source, and contact type (buyer / seller).
  • Activity — a timeline of touches: emails, texts, notes, and events, so you can see the whole relationship at a glance.
  • Linked Realms — any transactions this person is part of.
  • Tasks — follow-ups tied to this person.
  • Home report — the branded monthly home valuation report you can generate, preview, or send to a homeowner.

From a profile you can jump straight into Connect to email or text them — the conversation opens already tied to the contact.

If another agent in your brokerage is working the same person, a small Also worked by chip appears on the profile — an identity signal only, never their notes or threads. See Person identity & duplicates.

Contact-level consents

Some documents bind the client to you, not to a property — the Buyer Broker Agreement, the Listing Agreement, and the Agency Disclosure. Because of that, they live on the contact:

  • A buyer's consents are the Buyer Broker Agreement and **Agency Disclosure**.
  • A seller's consents are the Listing Agreement and **Agency Disclosure**.

You upload and track these on the contact, and every Realm that person joins reads through to them. Sign a Buyer Broker Agreement once and every home that buyer tours is covered — no re-signing per transaction.

Because consents live on the person, a Realm can never show "missing" for a consent the contact has already satisfied. One person, one record. See Client consents.

Keeping the book clean

Realm de-duplicates as you go. When a contact is created — from a manual add, an inbound lead, or an EVE-captured contact — Realm reuses an existing contact you already own that matches on email rather than adding a second row, filling only the blanks. It never merges across owners: two agents can each legitimately own their own contact for the same person.

For duplicates that slip through, there's an owner-controlled merge in your People panel: Realm groups your own look-alike contacts (same email, or same name plus phone), you pick which one survives, and the rest fold in. See Person identity & duplicates.

How a contact moves on

A contact in People becomes a lead when it's new business to work (see Leads), moves across your Pipeline, and becomes a Realm when the transaction is real.
